Lac de Gurcon is approximately 5kms away it has two huge lakes one for fishing, one for swimming.
There is a beautiful sandy beach with children’s play equipment and a 109 metre water shoot. There are additional activities including pony riding, water-sports, tennis and crazy golf.
Additionally, there are a variety of restaurants and cafés located around the lake.
If you like walking there are numerous walks that start at the lake – for all levels of fitness.
St Meard de Gurcon
St Meard de Gurcon is the friendly local town that has a weekly market and a selection of shops including a boulangerie, pharmacy, petrol, restaurant and bar.
St Foy le Grande
St Foy le Grande is a medieval town on the river Dordogne. This is the closest main shopping centre with a fantastic (not to be missed) market. It is a great place to get your fresh local produce and soak up the atmosphere of the area.
Villefrance de Longchat
Villefranche de Lonchat is a Bastide town founded circa 1280 by Edward I of England. The bastide sits high above a rolling landscape of hillsides planted with Bergerac and Montravel appellation vineyards. There is a local market, restaurant, hotel, banks and shops.
